Comb Out Update 1

I just wanted to update you with how the comb out of my locs is going.  I'm moving in slow motion, y'all.  I really thought I would have more done by now but things have come up that have taken my attention away from my hair.  I've gotten the back combed out from ear to ear.

The loose hair feels so good!!  It's so soft and puffy.  I'm using aloe vera gel to aid in the comb out (really it's a pick out instead of a comb out).  When it's combed out, I trim the ends and use some of my hair gel to two strand twist it so it doesn't become a tangled mess.  I'm excited to see what it will all look like when I'm done.  I wanted to be done by the end of the month but at the rate I'm going, it doesn't look like that is gonna happen.  My original plan was to be done by Thanksgiving so it looks like that's what I'm on track to do.  The most I've combed out in a day is about 6 locs.  Some days I only do 1 and some days I don't do any.  It is what it is.  The back isn't the only area that's been combed out.  I've picked out the temple area on both sidees so it's hidden when my hair is down.  My only concern is how to wear my hair when I get over half  of the locs combed out.  I'm thinking of a thick headband and leaving the locks in the middle  for last so I can pull into a ponytail.  I don't know.  I'll figured something out.

Anyway, don't forget you have until Oct 31st to enter to win my homemade hair gel, Honey Dipped Napps.  Head over to leave a comment on Oct 16th's post for your chance to win.

Til next time, thanks for reading.  Be blessed.
